Hello,

We will be upgrading all PHP4 servers to PHP version 4.3.9 tonight beginning at midnight EST. Each server should take approximately 15 minutes to upgrade. HTTP will go offline during part of this time.

This is a maintenance release that in addition to over 50 non-critical bug fixes, addresses a problem with GPC input processing. This release also re-introduces ability to write GIF images via the bundled GD extension.

You can review the complete changelog from PHP 4.3.8 to 4.3.9 at http://www.php.net/C...Log-4.php#4.3.9

Please let me know if you have any questions!

That was a trainwreck of an upgrade. Don't think php-hardened patch played well with it. Had to revert to 4.3.8. :)

Yeah. I didn't understand anything, but as long as all goes well, I'm happy. :)

Naa.... just in bed.

For the slower ones on this forum... example me.. what will this 'upgrade' actually do?

Nothing, I just like to post because someone else complaints to Faken when the site goes down, who in turn complains to me.

This botched upgrade caused the site to act weird for almost an hour.
