Hey guys...

Here's a Black and White photo of my wife's grand parents I restored for her father for xmas. This is the only photo he has of them, and the original is toast. Basically two separate photos were combined to put them together (This was done before they had computers) so it's fairly obvious they have different levels of detail in their faces. I didn't have much to work with... Well I would like to work on it more, but simply don't have time, so here's what I got at the moment. I'm printing it tomorrow moring.

PS. EACH DOT WAS REMOVED INDIVIDUALLY till I figured out a quicker way in the large, similar colored, areas. EEK!

Thanks guys :) I printed it this morning and it looks good so I'm a happy camper. I would still have liked to do more work on her face but I ran out of time. :)

Nice job! I love restoring photos like that.

Two years ago I lost my grandparents in a 14 day period. On the following mothers day I gave my father and two uncles a restored picture of my grandparents in their younger days.

I encountered some of the same challenges as yourself, but my project was MUCH easier. Though I had to combine photographs, I think my grandparents went to the same photographer because the background was the same, camera to subject distance was the same, and level of detail was the same. The only difference was my grandfathers picture was in shambles and needed some maticulous work.

All three brothers cried when I presented the pictures, so I took that as a "job well done" <me pats myself on the back>
