so if I were using Google AdSense, the users that go on my site would have to click the ads in order for me to make money?

Yes,

BUT encouraging people to click is against Google's TOS and will cause them to remove the service. Make sure you read their rules very carefully and abide by them to the letter.

and you have to have a certain trafic too to make anything on adsence, not sure where the line is. my site is less than 2 weeks old so my statistics aren't worth much. first time i made anything was around 4000 impressions / 10 clicks. cant figure out how they calculate it tho )

is it ok if i ask what the average cost per click is with adsense because i want to sign up evenually and i want to know the prices.

It depends. The google ads are content based, so if your site is about golfing, ads about golfing will show up. And same with that, the ad prices depend on the keywords. I've heard of people getting $100 a click on one ad. I've also heard of people getting about $0.20 a click.

can someone help me clarify this:

Alternate Ads
If you have elected to receive content-based ads, you can make sure that your advertising space is always being used effectively, either by targeted Google ads, or by your own choice of content by specifying an image or ad server of your choice. However, you may not specify Google ads as your alternate ads.

So if you had ad space, you can rotate around with google and your own buyable ad space
OR
You have to have separate google ad space and your own space?

Thx

...Besides..do you really care if you get $10 each day from 100 clicks/200 views or 100 clicks/300 views?

I really wouldn't mind having a low adclick/adview percentage if I get the same money :P

P.S. PayPal is not available in all countries but most ad programs include a cheque money transfer or debit/credit card transfer.

Thank you blitz for the support, but that is as much information as we can give. Google forbids the sharing of ad revenue, so nothing more specific than this please :P

Not really, the ad revenue doesn't consider keywords that much...And it depends on how much the person or company who posts the ads is willing to pay.

What really counts is your Google PageRank, the higher it is, the higher your click-revenue. Anything over $1 per click si nice money in my opinion. But that's all I can say in order not to upset the P2L higher authorities :P
