You shouldn't put a counter on the front page--or any page for that matter. Because honestly, the only person that cares about that counter is you, so why make it public? Either make it invisible or use a statistics service such as Google Analytics or something similar (if you have cPanel from your host, you can go into "Web/FTP stats" and see a counter there).
Also, why is there so much empty space at the bottom? There must be an error somewhere in your code.

The header imager is ... horrific to say it flat out. It is of low quality and for a jewelry site you think you would have a banner of jewelry ... and not sketchy text with a trendy background that isnt executed very well at all, if you are trying to stand out that is great and all but you dont want to stand out for a bad header.
Counter takes away from professional view point.
Page is formatted poorly.
The CSS rollovers are nice .... but a page cant survive off that

My suggestion for your header would be a nice, clean image, maybe a closeup of one of your nicest jewels, and like Greg said, nice, clean text with a logo or something

HORRIFIC HUH?! wow thanks.....i realized the site could use a little help here and there, and considering the minimal funds and knowledge of web design, i have done ALL of it on my own.....as proud of my accomplishiment as i was, i really didnt think or realize that it was HORRIFIC. thanks.

there is no need to get defensive either you want oppinions or you don't, but if you ask for them don't expect everyone to sugar coat everything to make you feel good. Part of learning is taking criticism (good or bad) and trying to build off of that.

ok...im a bit confused, but when i look at my page, i do not see this huge white space at the bottom that everyone keeps talking about...y is it that i don't see it, and how do i get rid of it if i can't see the problem?? i also don't know where i can get a good looking "cheap" banner for the site. im low on funds so i can't spend much on banner or logo design...any suggestions??
If you need a new banner and cannot afford to pay anyone pop up a post in hire a designer forums and pay them with a piece of jewelry or offer a site advertisement or something, Barter Trade.
As Jaymz stated change your banner to a jpg or gif file as your current one is far too large in file size and slows loading.
Look at your site from a customers view and ask yourself would you buy from this site?. Every webmaster should do this especially if they are selling a product, if your not 100% happy neither will your customers, a well built site will show in sales.
Also why if we go to http://www.crazylacedesigns.com/ it directs us to: http://www.crazylace...age/1804076.htm is there a reason for that?
And last add a doctype into your headers.

Well your the one who wanted oppinions, it needs work to say the least (and thats being kind) especially if you are trying to sell a product.

i did ask for suggestions and im very open to hear opinions...but the wording you chose to describe my site, was pretty blunt.....granted, you are here to give your opinion...but maybe next time, use another description rather than HORRIFIC....there is a big diff between sugar coating (which i don't expect) and harsh.......it is not that bad...altho it needs work, you cut it down to nothing...thanks tho. and altho you put in your two cents, you really did nothing to help me.....you told me what you thought was wrong, but a "HORRIBLE" followup i must say by not exactly explaining anything-and really, no attempt to help me out with fixing the probs......but thank you though very much for your input!!

thank you much donna for the great idea on the banner cost situation!!! I will for sure try that out!!! i have a few questions tho....as you can probly tell already....i am fairlly new and unfamiliar with alot of the terminology and in general new at designing a site. you meantioned that my site gets re-directed to another addy.....yeah i see that myself, but not sure why and not sure exactly how to change that if possible??? also you meanioned adding a doctype to my header.....? can you explain a bit? thanks again!!
When you upload your pages you should have a folder named public_html just upload all your files into that directory your site will then show on http://www.crazylacedesigns.com/
http://validator.w3....tml#faq-doctype explains the doctype
example:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html> <head> <title>your page title goes here</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> </head> <body> page content goes here </body> </html>

i understand the wording might of been a bit to strong but its life.... specialy in the art busness....you can spend maybe 7 hours on somehting and hte next thing you know some one comes and says out loud that it plainly sucks...... to be honest i rather that comment then the people who take it easy on the choosing of their words becaus sometimes you just think ok maybe its not that bad ill keep the same design and change a bit..... and another thing is that this site is filled with beautiful and artistic things and we see them all the time.... sometimes when we see somehthing that doesnt cut we just say it strait out.... now enough about that....
be its the banner i dont like like every one els.... just keep it simple if anything.... make it .jpg maybe .gif but im not a fan of GIF lol and yeah i see that white space at the bottom too maybe send your code of a page to the coding help thread and some one might help you there.... why you cant see it might be becaus a browser conflict..... if your are gonna make a site for the public to see make sur its user friendly... test it on the three main browsers... (netscape, explorer, firefox) and also make your you text in the body use Verdana font its much more readable and more user friendly... and people wont get tired of reading all the text as fast.....
