www.jeffphilibin.com/discoverdowntowntemp/mainsite.html

This is the template for my lastest site, Discover Downtown. It's a partnership in our area that wants to bring life back to Main Street. It's in the early stages, and I don't have a real domain name yet. For now, I'm hosting it on another website I've done.

I know it's simple but that's all they wanted.

That's a very effective design for a company, good job. I wondered at first why would you do it in flash, but then I saw the effect when browsing from one page to another, and it's all good :D The roll-over is awesome. Good job

The links at the bottom (about, contact, etc...) should be way more visible. If you want a user to browse your site, they should know where to click to browse. I feel the links are allmost invisible now, and it makes it hard to know where to click if I want to know something about the site, if i want to contact you, etc...

I updated a few more things (links at top and more of a geometric design to go with the logo)....

www.jeffphilibin.com/discoverdowntowntemp/mainsite.html

There will be a white background instead of blue but it will still have the blue borders.

is there any possible way of making the website in flash resible acording to the resolution? i note this is many websites, its too big or too small.

if isn't a way of resising, make it appear in the middle of the page

just a quick note to tell you that your navigation buttons snap back quite rudely to the original position after you click on it or rollout. you can actually make it move smoothly back.

it might be a small detail. but these small details, once fixed will make your design more professional.

i'm sure you spotted it as well. :P

Myoto, I have bought the domain and as soon as I can publish it the site will be in the middle of the page with a white background, but keep the blue borders around the white.

DarkSuiyoken, I have tried and tried again to get that rollover thing working, but I can't do it to save my life. I have the same problem with my portfolio/design site that I'll be posting shortly. If you know how to [easily] do this, please share. I already tried the tut from Toxic Lab and I didn't get anywhere.

BTW, the domain is www.discoverjohnstown.org. It should be up by the end of the day...I don't know what's wrong.

I love you. Only problem is, I can't get the MC or the MC inside a button to go to a certain frame.

if you're using a button, try converting it to a movieclip, after that, set up the tweening within the movieclip itself.

note that there are actionscript on the frames. check them out and you should be able to figure it out. :D

Yes, I re-created what you sent me inside a MC. the on (release) thing didn't work on a MC so I went to putting the MC inside a button, which didn't work either. I'll go try a few more things.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm in Middle School and I still have two years after this of Computer Fairs. I would like to do my sites by myself so I can use them later.

BTW States for this year are April 26th. My site - www.jeffphilibin.com
