Hi guyz, ive just got one question, Currently i have a swf presentation which loads up another swf when i click a button. Is there a way to make the new swf start like on its second frame and not the first?

Thanks in advance

Regards

Cloud

just put your actionscript which loads the swf into the desired frame..
(don't forget to put a stop(); action at the end, otherwise your movie will fall into a loop loading the swf everytime the playhead passes that frame.. :D )

i dont get it *scratches head*
the thing is i have a main prentation that has a menu on its second frame, theres a button on that frame that links me to a slideshow.swf. now on the slide show there is a back button which loads back my main page but i want it to start on the menu (frame 2) and not my first frame. >.< im confusing myself aswell now haha

ok i have 2 swf, one is ass2.swf and the other is slideshow.swf. the ass2.swf first frame is a logo with a next button and on the next frame has a button going to the slideshow.swf, on the slideshow.swf, there is a "back to menu" button which should go back to ass2.swf frame 2 (where the button linking to slideshow.swf was)

hope that makes sense =]

erm... why do you want to switch between 2 swf's? isn't there anyway to do it inside one swf? That would make your life easier :)

can you upload the .fla's or .swi files for us to look at,

im reading your posts and am well confused lol.

simply adding it inside one swf should be suffice, set the button to play sprite XXX (if swish)

of actionscript if flash.

i would suggest you'll have a much better response if we can see the problem.

aha.. now I get it..
Well, bad news.. you can't load a movie and explicit tell that new movie to go to frame 2. cause you are replacing the movies forth and back.
Anyway I've posted a workaround, have a look at it, and let me know if this is what you were looking for..

I just created on the main swf (ass2.swf) an empty movieclip with the right dimensions, when you press the button I just replaced the empty movieclip with the new (slideshow or video.swf).

buttonXYZ.onPress = function(){
loadMovie("slideshow.swf", empty_mc);
}

going back:

buttonXYZ.onPress = function(){
unloadMovie(this);
}
