Our semester project for my Enriched Written Communications class is to form a publishing company as a group, and publish some of the pieces we're written throughout the semester on this website.

My task is to come up with a webpage, so here is the first mockup, tell me what you think.

That's nice, I just don't like the colours of the suitcase though.

I'll be publishing the website, but I won't get a domain or anything since its just a school project.

As for the suitcase colors, could you give me some suggestions. I was thinking about it for most of today and I might experiment with some shades of green instead of the maroon. But, I like the pink, so it probably won't be removed.

I don't especially like the "Standards" and "Authors" bar, the light blue should go, the ret is green/purple, stick with that. With the suitcase maybe make the purple part abrighter purple but a bit darker then the pink, the dark purple blends too much with the background. Nice job overall though.

As for the navigation bar, I'll try some things to spruce it up. As for the maroon (inner) portion of the suitcase, I'll try your suggestion. As for the blue, I might change that.
