when i click on edit button in the grid view, it is suppose to show 2 buttons; update and cancel. apart from that, the item in my gridview should appear as a textbox.

the user can input a data and then update.

the problem is, how do i go about firing all these events and display the textbox where i want it to be?

can anyone help?

it would help to know which language/software you're talking about.

Thank you Indigo, i moved the topic for him.

Since i'm not sure whether or not C# can be used on the i-net, just let me know if you're making a program or a web page, and i'll either leave it or move it back.

Unfortunately, i don't know anything about C#, so i can't help, but i can suggest you use google.
