Blizzard Entertainment is proud to announce the first annual Blizzard Art Contest! We're looking for talented artists to create their favorite characters, monsters, or locations from the Warcraft, StarCraft, or Diablo universes in both 2D and 3D formats
Contest submissions will be accepted starting on July 31st at midnight (Pacific Standard Time)! Whether you are low- or high-poly, 2D or 3D, amateur or professional, this will be your chance to pour your creativity into the Blizzard universes: Diablo, StarCraft, and Warcraft.

No need for 3D, you can draw ( if you're good at it ) and then ink it with illustrator i believe.
