Increasing system performance, does your system lag a little when you first boot up your pc? Then the longer your on it starts to slow down more and more? Well these steps will help you stop that, and increase system performance slightly. :P

Start the REGEDIT program to do this go to Start > Run then type REGEDIT

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\MemoryManagement\

So first you find the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE section then maximize that, then find SYSTEM in the sub folder, the find CurrentControlSet in that sub menu and so on.. You get the picture right? Good

Now on the right hand side there should be a list, find DisablePagingExecutive and double click it

Set the value to 1

Reboot the computer

Just something some one showed me. Felt like sharing :)

Disable Paging Executive
This will prevent pages sections from RAM going to the hard drive. If you have a large amount of RAM at least 256Mb (I suggest 512) you might want to keep the data in your RAM to improve your performance considerably due to reduced amount of hard drive swappage. The entry that you will want to modify is called DisablePagingExecutive. Changing this from 0 to 1 will keep the data in your RAM.
