If not, the only reason I chose the apple was the fact that Apples tend to symbolize education (ie: you give a teacher an apple... by the way, who has actually done that?).

As for being crowded Donna, pretty much anything will beat what is there right now (despite how much I love that design). The monotone version of this logo has 6 pixels, and the text. I just added some nifty effects to this version for the Header logo.

Didnt really prepare this for the header size yet (its all vector, but I still should probably play with the blending options), but here is kind of what I think it would be implemented like:

Don't get me wrong I love the Pixel Bowl just don't like the green tinge added on it and prefer the original version I'm sure Dan will say a few of us have driven him nuts on that.

Some Guidelines

If you dig around and look at any large company, their logos are fairly simple and easily identifiable. I don't mind a nice shiny icon logo, in fact, that's what I love, but it needs to be a simple concept that looks good even if it's converted to a simple 2 tone image or silhouette. You'll notice that if you take most logos from say Adobe, HP, Apple etc... you recognize them even if they are solid black. I am looking for both a logo, and the site name and slogan (Pixel2Life - Learning Made Simple) in some nice type that matches the current layout and header.

Check out the posts by akkasone for an idea of the style of icons I like. Just bear in mind it's going to be small on that header, so complicated icons or logos won't look very good.

Nice designs! However, the globe is overdone, and the box isn't too interesting. I liked the paintbrush one, but, try to neaten it up a bit, it looks a little sloppy. I figure that those are probably rough sketches. The first one is nice as well, but those leaves or feathers remind me of a native american hat, not good. Pixel2Life doesn't want its image flawed by a byist logo; its probably just me though. Anyways, I like what your doing with the designs, keep it up!

Good points brandon, ye they are rough sketches I havnt really spent much time on them but anyway Im planning to make some more better designs until deadline
