Have you had a look at it in IE as the menu has a big gap around it and the login part is really out of place. :D

you like those grass brush dont u? hehe, it looks fine now. but i like the other header much better (without the grass). It was more creative. A footer is needed. The font of the nav is very fav.
I like the design though. Good job

i like your second design a lot. its very simple and yet the header gives it personality
two things:
-the nav font seems sharp and harsh after your header font and the curves of the stuff in the header
-everything in the header has a drop shadow, thats fine it gives it dimension, but a few of them have the drop shadow ending abruptly before the top of the header. to fix this id either brush on your own drop shadow to cover a few points, pull the sharp things up a few pixels so the shadow ends at the top of the header, or change the angle of the shadow to 0* or 180* (cant remember which way would look better)
