I just started 3d modeling like a week ago. Skylines are over rated but.. oh well..

My first 3d model ever:

The bottom of the bumper kinda sucks to me.
Umm, I used Cinema 4d and the color is not final, I just didn't want to show it in grey.
Er, about an hour of work so far.

I did one of these in the past, and I made the same major mistake you are making right now. Make your edges very crisp, right now it looks like a skyline...but it looks like its melting, keep your edges very crisp. other than that its looking solid

edit* not too crisp though, it needs some bevels

adding another edge ring like in the picture above will make it so that your smooth with average your verticies out less, but give it a nice clean edge which is more appropriate on a car

now...without the wireframe

I'm pretty sure my buddy made a nissan, you can take a look here:

http://www.greycobra...ey_demoreel.php

Check it out, I'm sure you can replicate, or do better on his work.

Looks good so far man, don't worry about materials until the modeling is complete, it distracts you and slows productivity, keep on er!

That looks GREAT! To bad you dont get more time to work on it. Tell your parents your future depends on it.
