Hi everbody. I have a little problem here... When I go and save an image in PS (as any file type, even .psd), the image is darkened when I look at it in the photo viewer, after I upload it, or even in GIMP. The only way I'm able to get the actual contrast that I want/have in my image, is to take a screenshot of the image while making it in PS, then paste the s.s. into GIMP, and save it from there.

See for yourself...

Direct PS save:

Saved through GIMP:

So does anybody know how to stop this from happening? Thanks in advance, its really appreciated.

This is just one more reason why I think GIMP is better than Photoshop -.-

Just because you're not adapt at using Photoshop, doesn't make it worse.

My guess is that the problem is due to transparency in the image.

Well, I was told on another support site to try and re-install the program, so I'm going to try to do that.

Just because you're not adapt at using Photoshop, doesn't make it worse.

You can do just as many things in GIMP (if not a few more) than in PS :P. That's my opinion, anyway... Only thing I like about PS is it has better blending/bg erasing than GIMP.

Go under edit and cheak your colour engine and settings. edit<colourprofile and compare them to mine. May be something that have changed because of something or somehow. I dont play around with these enough to know what though...

Still didn't work =\. I changed it to look like yours... And it didn't help.

Also... After I uninstalled / re-installed, when I open an animated .gif image in PS, and then look in the Animation window, there are no multiple frames... But if i look at it in the photo viewer, or even open it in GIMP, it's animated... I've tried uninstalling it / re-installing it numerous times, and nothing's worked...

Edit: I just tried to open an animated GIF that I made quick before I had gone through uninstalling it over and over, and this is what came up now:

Ok. I found out that it'll let me open it in ImageReady first, then export it to PS. Kind of a pain to do if I want to edit an animation, though. Anyway, I'll send you the graphic, thanks for the help.
