Well after a long break from personal web development, decided to get back and get some of my sites back up and running. Si I present to you the first of a few sites:

LostPhotograph

Designed by Sixmode

Can I get some feedback on how people think it is looking, its nearly finished, not quite there just yet, few final touches to make.

Thanks!

Matt

I like the site. Nice and simple, clean and effective. My only real beef with it is the logo...the "portfolio of matt godwin" is really blurry, and the edges of the logo seem pixelated. I would try bumping up the quality a wee bit. Image optimization is great, but when it makes your logo look crummy, its good to spend a few kb on it :)

just one thing I think you could fix is the size of the image you display
the width of the image could fill all the content width, so the image will like fit to the website
the bottom gradient seems wrong, it ends before blending to white

I see what you're talking about with the gradient at the bottom, Matheus. I don't think it was meant to blend in with the white. I think it was meant to be a drop shadow to make the bottom edge took like it has a small lip or ledge or whatever you want to call it. I will have to agree though, it does kind of look a little on the odd side. But other than that, I like the site. I really like the tribal design at the top.

Hey

Thanks for the feedback, Pax: i don't see any issues with the logo at all, all looks fine and dandy from where I am sitting.

The bottom isn't a drop shadow, it is meant to be a gradient, not sure what has gone wrong with it, need to take a look at it and get it fixed.

And Matheus, I am going to be adding arow images either side of the photo thumbnail to navigate between them, so that is why that space is there.

Thanks,

Matt

I personally think the site looks great Matt, well done! I love the layout... I see what people mean about that bottom gradient... it doesn't blend into the white properly but that's an easy fix. The logo looks fine to me as well... Usually jaggy edges are an issue with some LCD monitors. Looks great, congrats!

That must be my problem. I have a couple of 20" Dell widescreen LCDs.

I think it looks great!

Only thing I might change would be an overflow: auto on the actual white content section so you scroll that instead of the page. With your 100% width that would make it seem real cool to have the site "bordered" like that.

But yeah, awesome layout and design.

Ah thank you, I wasn't using white, was on some colour near white, fixed now.

Thanks for the feedback all.

I frigging love this design, very clean, very professional, very well done.

Only thing I can suggest is doing something like a lightbox thing when looking at pics =)

Other than that, its great. Well done.

Looking good, clean and professional design. Only thing I'm not sure about is the noise filter on the footer, but it doesn't really bother me. Good job

I was attempting to look at the new photos you had, but I kept getting "Sorry, photo is not found". I'm just wondering if the links are broken or if they just haven't been linked up yet.
