bale has signed for tottenham i believe, (10 million fee??) and richards will be snapped up by another team as city really dont want to give him to utd lol.

it will be interesting to see who snaps up Nuggent from preston, at 8 mill he's expensive, could be like andy johnson though,

im thinking tottenham or newcastle will get him, even though everton are watching, which is what we mostly do lol.

alan smith is avaliable i believe hes yours for around 5 million, i'll just get my check book out lol.

i think fergie will produce an un-known again this term, theres some french kid getting lots of hype, dont even know who he is but the big 4 are all looking for his signature, anyone know who he is??

Haven't we moved on from that debate? I wish you all the luck in the world for next season (You're gonna need it) and I can't wait for us to play each other.

Mavuba is his name, I can't see bale joining spurs, United will have somethhing to say about it I am sure. ALso why would Newcastle need another attacking player, thats all they have done is buy strikers over the years, no wonder they haven't won a major trophy for such a long time.

i think his name is zidan (without the 'e' on the end). he is supposed to be shit hot from what ive heard, see if you can find anything on youtube?

(see previous post on last page about villa to chelsea)

apparently villa has a 42 million buyout clause in his contract <3

another edit: propax... bale has already signed for spurs. like said above, for 10 million.

I thought it was £60 million, thats what Sky sports said anyway. I have heard about that Zidan kid and people are raving about him, also we ware looking at Nani along with spurs.

if you could spend 100mill on players who would you think rafa would go for??

it is interesting that roman has closed his check book (if you believe the papers) and the un-rest thats due in the chelsea camp might make for some interesting days, lampard wants 150,000 a week so does terry, there both on about 110,000 a week now i believe? so that makes you wonder who would blow open there wage structure to get either of them??

terry is a world class defender, and worth the money, lampard on the other hand is not IMO, he had a great season 2 years ago, but this term wasnt as prolific in front of goal, and theres so many other options, hargreaves for united, gerrard for liverpool (who IMO is the best midfielder in the prem) essien could easly replace lampard,

lampard at 150,000 is only going to attract spanish clubs prolly see him in a madrid shirt soon lol,

edit: my spelling sux sorry lol

Deffinently, Lamps isn't a shadow of the player of 2 years ago. He got abit cocky in my eyes, and for £150,000 a week.

who do i think rafa would buy... honestly? i dont have a clue

the thing is he has never really had the money to spend big has he. and he has, bar alonso and one or two others to an extent, had to spend relatively small. it will be interesting to see what he does with all this cash - personally id like to see him go in for daniel alves as some competition to pennant and finnan, a quality attacking left sided player (so hard to find nowadays, wouldnt mind leighton baines as a left back allowing riise or aurellio pushing on infront but would still prefer a full out and out attacking midfielder on the left), and another striker (eto'o or villa, even huntleaar).

all i know is, that if we dont come out of this transfer window with some top, top signings... im going to be very dissapointed, and rafa is probably going to be at real.

What about Joaquin? he has just joined Valencia but may be persuaded to leave. You could also get Downing. As for a striker, you could go for Tevez or Trezuguet.

that was the thing about my question, rafa hasnt had this opportunity before, and i was interested to see a fans view on his spending lol,

if everton had 100 mill to spend i would like to think davey would buy a squad of players rather than 3 or 4 big names, the same i think is what liverpool need,

like you said, if you could find some quality in area's to create competition for places and to build up your squad then liverpool would defo benifit, everton need about 7 or 8 squad players IMO, our strike forces is weak, (depending what he does with our teenagers vaughn and anichebie) we need to offload bettie (any sunderland fans want him??) our midfield is great but take one of them out and were lacking badly, we cant afford fernandez, cahill is struggling, neville is well, neville lol, carsley is not the way forward, and VDM is a ponce lol,

our back 4 are ok, but nothing special bar yobo and lescott who had a crackin season with us,

so, the question is 3-4 big names, or some good all round sqaud players,

and what about harry kewell?? the guy is injury prone and worse than darren anderton yet you guys love him, i wouldnt miss him if he left the prem lol.

nah we were interested in joaquin a while back but he went to valencia and i dont think there is much chance now. i would definately have tevez for anything under 15 million though.

the thing is evertonian, liverpool dont really need to buy a whole squad of players. we already have a very strong squad but are just lacking a bit in some key areas.

i mean, look at the options we have in central midfield: gerrard, alonso, mascherano, sissoko, lucas leiva, garcia and andriy voronin is always an option.

carra and agger in central defence - we just need a backup for them, as noone is going to break up that partnership. both of whom can play all across the back four. riise, arbleoa, aurellio, finnan are all solid, quality players. arbeloa can play all across the back too, riise and aurellio can also play as attacking or more defensivley minded midfielders on the left.

pennant is our only real option on the right if you want to keep stevie in the middle (although hopefully we will get hammill back from dunfermline and give him a go next year), and on the left we only really have one true attacking midfielder now that speedy is off in kewell, who is just too injury prone.

up front we have bellers crouch and kuyt, i can see bellamy going though, and god has already left.

to me its obvious where we need strengthening, its not the squad as a whole anymore, that has been what has happened the last 3 seasons, if were gonna push for the prem we need someone to challenge with pennant and finnan on the right (alves), a true winger on the left, and a bloody good goal poacher (eto'o or villa or tevez even).

his previous spending has been a bit hit and miss, but like i said he hasnt had much money so he has had to take some calculated gambles when signing players, and it was extremely frustrating at times. but for the first time since rafa has taken over i finally get the feeling were starting to see his team, now that all houlliers dross is cleared out.

we dont need squad players anymore... it is a squad assembled by him now. i want rafa to go all out and blow 100 million on 3, 4 or even 5 top class players.

I've been away and I miss all this... loooool

I'd like to take a moment to reflect on this comment:

LOL! Fifa is miles better than Pro evo, if thats what the remark was for.

1. Fifa is licensed
2. Fifa has better graphics
3. Fifa has more in depth game play
4. Pro evo has a crap trick stick that a 4 year old could master in minutes
5. Fifa has always been around and will always be around and fight of any small rival i.e Pro evo.

Dub, It will take more than Berba to win the CL, But he has proved is pedigree this season and he will be a huge asset to us. I would love to see Deco and R.Carlos join us.

LOL seriously lad? seriously?

Oh please, Fifa.. Pff, you shoot from stupid distances and it fly’s into the top corner, at least pro evo is some what of a challenge to play online? It involves thinking about where you're going with the ball not banging it in from the half way line, as well as every through ball going in the perfect position of the players run, so please refrain from saying that a 4 year old could master parts of the game, when no joke, I’ve scored on Fifa with my fucking eyes closed, the games just simply to easy. To be honest you're views on football are pretty irate and I honestly have absolutely no respect for them.

Quoting:

Haven't we moved on from that debate? I wish you all the luck in the world for next season (You're gonna need it) and I can't wait for us to play each other.

You don't necessary"win" a debate, its a collection of other peoples views, facts and opionons and as you don't seem to be respecting what people have to say and are turning in what seems some kind of contest then, yes I have absolutely no respect for you're views.

perhaps we could ask the mods to make us another officail footy thread lol, this one seems to have a slight flaming session trying to appear.

rafa wants david silva for 12mill pounds, and may get him!! nice work there lol.

matty taylor is a wanted man, but will pompi let him go? asking 5 million or valued at that anyway lol.

arsenal got Lukasz Fabianski for 2million thats good bizz.

no one jumped on wright yet, thats bad news for him, looks like a season in the championship beckons shame too as he's a great keeper.

LOL! Firstly I would like to ask what version of Fifa you have played, if it wasn't 05 onwards then you need to play a newer version, they chagned the game engine after 05 and also what difficulty do you have it on? This determines how the shots are played, how good the keeper is and also from freekicks it is much more difficult to score the more higher up the difficulty. I played Pro evo for about 30 mins recently and to be honest found it a doodle, I mean the trick stick is just so easy and I scored from the half way line against Juve with Buffon in goal, are you telling me that's realistic?, at least with Fifa different players do different tricks, also depdnding on the player's skill he may not be able to do a 360 turn, so try and tell me it isn't complex now.

Also I never siad I won the debate, we had just started talking about another subject, I am sure if you read futher back you will see that. O and finally the feeling's mutual about each others views and oppinions.

Evertonian, we should see if we can get a sticky thread for sport added. I'll ask Dan, it's a long shot but you never know :(.

I´ve been playing Fifa 07 and the UEFA Champions League game and they are awesome. Try winning the treble with watford, hardest thing ever. Also, Owen Hargreaves is expected to sign this week!

Edit

Man Utd have signed a new young PORTUGUESE player and a new young BRAZILIAN player.
19-year-old Brazilian Anderson who plays for FC Porto and 20-year-old Portuguese winger Nani who plqys for Sporting Lisbon
