overall the whole production stage didnt take more than couple of house (rendering included)

Took less than an hour from start to finish.
Modeled in Maya 8.5
Textured in Maya 8.5
Rendered in Maxwell 1.5
Animated with Maxwell's MultiLight

Gd stuff guys!, i will post mine tommorow.. tis untextured and partly uv-wrapped, i was trying to do something different in c4d but it failed..
i guess lamps are pretty free for poeple to express there own designs .. brill

If you look close enough you can see Ursa Major(Big Dipper). Each star is its own object.

Rendered in Maxwell 1.5
Next entry will be more abstract if I can get the time for it.

This is actually my first time ever participating in anything like this. I just started learning in Maya a few months ago. Pretty cool. I've seen FX stuff over in CGTalk. But that is way beyond my capabilities.

for the stars on the sky, u said they were their own object, quiet a few of them, i hope u werent making spheres all over the place lol

here is entry re-entered
all I did extra was add a little texture and bumb map to the side panels or the rice paper which is what it is supposed to be haha.... and I was trying to get an effect like light behind paper... and this is as best as I could get it
made from same programs

The wood looks very repeated on the bottom square support, especially on the closest piece.
