HI,
when i creat a pdf file it has for example 10 layers ... is there a way to open it back with all 10 layers or will it always come back as 1 flatten layer?

Call me crazy, but PDFs don't have object layers like a graphic application

pimpmaster G is sooOOO right bout that.
pdf's only readable via acrobat reader.
Maybe last version has smart objects like othere adobe products (dont have it so dont know), but is only 1way ticket: keep link with the apps, not ment to go back from acrobat to photoshop etc...

You can open a pdf file in Photoshop but it will be a flat image. Is your question more about what to export your file as so that you can work on it in Photoshop? What application are you working out of? See if it has the option to export as a PSD file.

u can open in illustrator or indesign for layers
