I've been working on a template for a crysis community/info website id like to start for the past few days.
This is what I've managed to work up so far:

http://img129.images.../cfthingac4.jpg

The little interface object at the top center is kind of my pride and joy as im not that great at brushing heh.

Comments/Suggestions?

Awesom, very good!

1tip: I would use a smaller font for the content, like the one you used in the menu.

It looks sweet. I have once complaint (This might just be me and might not even matter) but the username and password input boxes could use a little change...First : they are a little bit off in terms of lined up with the submit button. also I don't like the username or password font. I would say use the same font as the search bar font. These are probably stupid critics, but I figured I would tell what my first critic was when I saw it because you don't have many critics (Becase its a sweet template) I wish I could do that brushing that well... acually I wish I could do any of that that well.Could I ask what you are using to code this? I mean xhtml are you useing css or tables? I have always wondered if sites that fancy use css.)

wow really nice layout, is crysis even out yet lol?, anyway i think everything looks good, i think if you changed the nav to fit with the header at the top it would look even better! you should also design the footer to match the header to then it would look really nice.

Thanks for the replies! :)

I tried addressing some of the critiques:

http://img513.images.../cfthingmq3.jpg

I might tweek the news area some, not quite happy with it yet. And then on to the footer...

Coding wise ill try to do as much of it as possible in xhtml/css (I don't have much experience with tables). And then I need to skin it to some free CMS, ill probably look for some Crysis fans who are better with php and coding than I am to help out. Id like to have the site up by the games release on November 16th.

Ok it's basically done:

http://img152.images.../cfthingvo0.jpg

Now to skin it into Joomla or some other CMS.

If there are any Crysis fans who have a talent for coding and would like to help on the site, feel free to PM me or something :D

Hi,

Nice template - well done :)

The login button text looks a little out of place compared to the other font types used on the site.

Apart from this the template is excelent.

regards

Hey Griffin, try this tutorial out  http://www.mambosolu...om/dw_tutorial/ It's for DreamWeaver (which I'm sure you have) and also requires a plugin (which is available in the tutorial). It's how I do my Joomla skinning - with all the modules and everything. Tutorial works like a whistle!
