The second one was shot in raw and edited a lot after that? I see vigneting turned on and this overexposed stain is bad for eye but otherwise, pretty neat job! Keep it up! :(

Shot and compressed, not in RAW.
Colour balence and levels slightly tweaked, that's all.
Thanks for the comment..

You settings that you used to take that photo
Make: Canon
Model: Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL
Lens: Canon EF-S 18-55mm
Shutter Speed: 1/125 second
F Number: F/11.0
Focal Length: 18 mm
ISO Speed: 100

I used exactly the same setings on sunset photo... The vigneting is not even noticable on these settings... So this must have been added by you. Also color tones, sunset and sunrise are warmer than your second photo, it has cold colors.

Excuse my ignorance, but i don't even know what vigneting is?

I did play with the colour balence, as i said, photos don't have to be EXACTLY as you see them....

http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Vignetting

It is true that photos don't have to be exactly the same, but there is the question: where does post processing ends and a manipulation starts. But ok, this discussion would go way out of the topic

I didn't use vignetting, i just turned the dark level right up, try it on a picture with some black silhouettes in...
I'm not a fan of much manipulation, i only like to manipulate things as much as i could in a darkroom with film, i could just about get that image, with alot of work. This is the most i would ever do to a photograph. Besides it's personel prefrence...

Had a few comments on some other sights about shot number #2 being a bit boring, as it dosn't have much going on in the middle, so i added some birds! First time i've really manipulated a photo. Let me know what you think!
