Hi - I'm trying to create a graphic for a website header that's similar to this one - http://tinyurl.com/c9dwh5 - an curvy panel, for lack of a better description. What I've done is draw the upper right section in a new path layer.

To avoid having to redraw the other segments, I have selected that path segment & copied & pasted it into the existing path layer of my document, and flipped & rotated them so that they form my desired shape. I've snapped some grid lines to help me align the segments & have them connect. Here's a snapshot of my workspace: http://tinyurl.com/al48mn

So what I'm trying to do, then, is combine these 4 path segments into a single closed path, so that I can stroke & fill it - but no matter which Combine option I try, it won't do it the way I want. PS is closing each of the 4 path segments individually, indicated by the diagonal line connecting the beginning & ending anchor points of each segment. Here's a snapshot of my workspace after I've selected all 4 path segments & selected the Combine option: http://tinyurl.com/c4e9hx

I've tried to ensure that all the path segments are touching. I'm just not sure what I'm doing wrong! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

What i would do is, ignor the path for now, go back to your layers window, hold down the CTRL key
and hover your mouse over the little preview image your mouse curser will change to a hand with a squre, then click once with your mouse ( this will get the dotted selection around that layer )
Still with CTRL held down , now hold down SHIFT key also, and do the rest of your layers

Once that is done, goto your paths tab, and click make path from selection, you now should have one single path

Hope this helps
