Hey guys,
I was wondering since I started getting into the hang of XHTML/CSS website coding and with my previous knowledge of web design, what the best preferred method of getting the money to me would be.
I heard paypal was good but I also heard that when the money comes in to you via paypal, they are given some of the cash. Also, how much percent do they take?
And are there better ways than this to get the money straight to you? Thanks.

I personally only accept Paypal. The reason being is that I know anybody I will work with will be using Paypal. It just seems to be industry-standard
Yes, Paypal does take a cut of your money, but not much in my opinion. I dont know the percentage off the top of my head, but I think its something like a few cents per dollar. Its really not that bad.
I would definitely suggest Paypal. Its much more trusted and popular than some of the other alternatives.

When it comes to fees, paypal takes lot of cash from it. You can try alertpay, strictpay or Liberty reserve if you wish to save money on fees. But point is very less people use those payment processors.

Paypal doesn't charge fees all the time, I've had many payments with no fees taken off. And if they do take fee's its extremely minimal cheaper than bank fee's.

Well when i got 25$ transfer to paypal i got 1.25$ as fees. For online transactions this is bit heavy fee when we compare things with other payment processors.

Submit your local bank account no and necessary details to your buyer. Sending money to a bank account is full free. Or some times your cost will be maximum $3 for $1000 transfer. I am bringing $ from odesk.com and from scriptlance.com to my bank account in 100% free.

Paypal can limit your account any time, you should try out 2checkout it is one of the best payment processor. I am using 2checkout my self plus your buyers will not find it hard to pay you as they can still pay from their paypal account to your 2checkout account. And then you can easily withdraw to either your bank account or payoneer card or even cheque.
I hope this helps.

Please beware
If you are attending an auction, read the accepted payment methods of the auctioneer
There is an auctioner here who does not accept any type of payment that protects the buyer
They only accept bank checks & COD that hasnt been used in decades and they DO NOT accept any CC or paypal which protects the buyer
Constantine & Pletcher is one of them
Please beware there is NO buyer protection for damaged, undelivered merchandise

Im going to try to do some drop shipping from my site with a Magento shopping cart.
I have no experience with the payment end of any shopping carts so I was hoping I could get some input on what methods to start with.
Right now I only have a dozen items that I plan on selling via drop shipping and being its a Magento cart it seems to lean toward Paypal -- not really a problem since I already have a Paypal account. The "Standard" seems to be the least expensive.
This is what Ive looked at so far, but what other options do I have? Im open to anything at this point.
