So, I'm really getting into the whole css layout thing. its so much simpler after you immerse yourself in it and learn some of the rules that make certain things possible.
All of my friends are artists and all of them are quite gifted, so i figured i would make a web portal for all to see their and my works.
Here is the site -- www.hardcoreartist.com
please lemme know what you think of the design so far.
...p.s. i disabled the forum section while I am creating topics on it and it is not quite ready for the viewing.
c&c please.
I finally made a website I like! What do you think?

i think structurally uve got the right look just a few colours i would fix maybe. look up on google for colourschemes and maybe stick to a three colour design for now.
not sure if the white background on the title works but it look ok

I like it, but as trevs said, i also think some of the colors don't mesh well
The navigation for instance. that dark maroon doesn't really fit the rest of the site

I would drop the gradient background as it distracts from the page - they are good for less stylish sites.
The logo does not look right either. It is nice, but I think that the white logo backgrounds needs to merge with the header gradient grey somehow.
Really like the first photo - /deem1.jpg
Maybe overall, just too much gradient shading.

No tables - Good job. And I have to agree, too much gradient colors, reduce that.
