This is my first tut and I am pretty happy with it. Use it and let me know what you think.

nice tutorial, although you may want to cut the filesize down, as 2mb is abit extreme for a 56ker or anyone without a 512kb+ connection.. as this would take a long time download

it loads in like 1 second for me but i'll go back and save it at a lower quality or soemthing. actually if i save as a PNG 24 it is only 250 kb each

its about 450 kb now.

Great tutorial man! Thanks :P Just a reminder to those that use this though that using this logo for your own personal work unrelated to P2L is a copyright violation and you will be persued. So it's all good to use this to make buttons, banners etc... but just don't use it as your new company logo :)

Thanks again Jeepinator!

Nice stuff Jeepinator and lovely result as well.

May I suggest this image gets emailed to Faken so we don't loose the tutorial please, noticed its on one of those free image sites so the bandwidth will be eaten pretty quick.

don't worry i have it saved PSD and JPG's and PNG's and all in a special folder on my PC. I'll E-mail the Images to Faken in a minute. Also Imageshack hasn't dropped a single one of my images in about 2 months but just in case I'll do that.

If you use save for web, you can take this down to 295kb's and quality is still very good, I just tried it.

Awsome tutorial. Only thing I did different is the eraser part at the bottom. It looked like crap when I tried to erase :(. So I just used the ellipse tool and made a 400x400 circle and inversed it, moved it up a little and pressed delete. I guess it looks the same .

hey poosay that looks nice. thanks for posting your results. i see that i gave good instructions. but it looks like you didnt put the stroke layer on top of the red circle layer. i'm sry i didnt specify this in my tut. and about erasing the bottom gradient, i was going to do what you did but i decided it didnt look as good and it was several steps long so i jsut erased it by hand. I had lots of caffeine today so it took me like 10 tries lol.

oh and thanks adam for uploading the pics and hosting them on your site!

Yea man thanks for the tutorial. And don't worry guys, i'm not using that logo, I just did it to test out the tutorial :(. Yea and that black at the bottom of mine is suppose to be the stupid drop shadow but it always messes up on transparent backgrounds

if you go to File>Save for Web then save it as a PNG-24 the dropshadow quality remains as it is in the PSD.

You saved as a png but you didn't save as transparent png, as it looks the same in IE as it does Firefox ;)

Very nice btw
