A tutorial on how to animate your buttons so that they animate when you roll over them and then have a different animation when you roll off of them.
Ive been trying to do this and i cant get it to work with out making the button freeze whn you roll off of it too quick

What Program are you doing this in? Imageready, Swish or Flash programs?

You just need to create a movieclip and put some framelabels..
your code on the maintimeline would look like this:
onRollOut is just a example, you can also use
onPress - onRelase - onDrag and so on.. have a look at the flashHelp

ive tried somethinbg like that but then i run into other problems. I wuould like a deatiled tutorial explaining it. i know its gotta be something so simple but i just dont get it

If thats too hard for you use swishmax or creating animated gifs.

take a look at it i already got everything setup good but for some reason when you go over, and off of it too quick, it freezes if i could get a simple flash file just showing how its works, that would really help.

*cough* I COULD have written a tutorial on this for towdded. *cough*
anyways. You should have all of those within an independent movie clip. Then you can make the button inside of it. Then make a layer consistently going with the animation, have the button on it. On the button have the,
on roll over... blah. Code. also add on roll out. You are probably missing this at one point and thats what is causing it.

I got itt!!!!!!!! I put a stop tag on the frame where the animation for the roll out was sposed to happen and thas what made it freeze. All i had to do was add a frame before the animation and put the stop tag there..
i knew it was something simple--i feel so dumb but yet so happy
