Hi everyone, well I'm new here so I dont expect many people to reply or help but if you guys can then thank you >_<!

Well I'm currently using Dreamweaver 2004. I have been practicing on the computer with the CSS coding and it works perfectly fine. Everything works as instructed to.
Now when I start to work on my website, I did the usual, but when it came to the CSS coding. None of it works! >_< Actually im trying to get my background to blend with the entire layout but it just dosen't! nothing happens. Am I missing something since Im working on a server instead of just my computer?

Also is there any way I can just work on my hard drive and just upload everything to my server? cause working on the server is pretty funky so far ;\.

well thanx for reading..

-Li

Are you using two diffrent browsers? If its CSS there should be NO diffrence at all to what ever your CSS code is, they way it looks and runs is dependent on the browser it self not the server.

In Dreamweaver you have the option to use it's own little ftp client to work off of your webserver. I have turned this off and work on files on my hard drive, then upload with Internet Explorer (ftp://www.yoursite.com).

Another problem you might be having is that you have not included the css file in your document's header. Are you using the @import or <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="path/to/your/css.css">?

Also, make sure you are uploading the actual css file too, not just your html or php or whatever page you're working on.
