How about doing what somebody mentioned last time, a scene containing primative objects only. Maybe a character or even an animal.

i dont like that idea...
to me it defeats the point of trying not to use primitives..

My favourite first:-
Everyday Vehicle: Who would have thought that large 4X4 vehicles would become the popular vehicle amongst mothers taking their kids to school, what is the next SUV style revolution? A flying car, perhaps.
Musical Instrument: I’m going to keep suggesting this; we are bound to run out of better ideas at some point.
Monument: In honour of, or commemorating any event or people you choose.

You'd be surprissed how inventive some people can be when just using primatives. I'd expect some fantasic from bongo, hes primativei dont like that idea...
to me it defeats the point of trying not to use primitives..

Well just alot of scaling and bending. Nothing Extremely hard..Well besides texturing, lol.
But theres always a trick! Just study the image first. See what basic objects can make the object for the ship. Thats what I always think about before modeling.

sails would be hard if u wanted them to be realistic, if you wanted to use cloth effects and stuff, but a cheap way would just be a bended plane

Yes but we are not gonna animate them. That would take weeks or a month for 1 man team lol. (most of us are still new to this). Anyway a simple plane and bend it is easy enough. Just add some material to make it look better, hehe.
oh and the ship that is in the air..doesn't always have sails.
