What technique did you use to make the head and neck. Have you poly modelled it and sliced it up with the knife, or used point modelling?

I reckon youve used box modelling with the hypernurbs.

Kind of a mixture... start with a primitive tweaked for the basic head shape, knife down the middle and apply symmetry. Then tweak pull and poke and added some hypernerbs.

The head shape is pretty low poly, but the HNs smooth the bugger out a treat!

Great work bongo (as always :D )

I'm not getting to spend as much time on this one as I thought I would - I'm sure I could do a better job than this

Still have to do the textures and also work on the neck and arms. Hopefully will complete before the 11th.

Here's the start of one of the paired sabers that my character uses.... The blade was made with a tube light with a small amount of turbulant noise added to give it a shimmer :)

I think the white part of the shaft is alittle bit too thin (in the middle of the beam)

That's what I was going for (the classic look) coz she's got a smaller build so I made the blade slightly shorter and more slender than normal

haha thats cool, work on the texturing  and try smooth out those edges a bit they look pretty bumpy.

apart from that a little bit of detail and its nice, cute lol

also try make a background for him :) with some grassy hills and flowers and a blue sky in the back. would be cool :)

So its not as bad as i thought?

Not at all! We are all nice here and give you a boost of confidence. No model is bad! And we can help you to work on it to make it better.

All starters start some where. lol

Just think, this Competition is a Profile for future schools! Show them that you had improved over years of trying and teaching yourself. :P

Tell me what to improve. I donno what to do.

haha getting better. Make a background plane with a sky or something. And give the Goomba (I think thats right). A lighter texture...it is to dark. Oh and make that pipe go alittle under the plane you have it on. Like make it stick underneath alittle. You will see why..

Marvin's looking great!

I made some hands & forearms last night - looking groovy.

The dimensions aren't correct yet and I'll pose the hands once their rigged - just wanted to see how the shapes are working together

Thanx bongo :P

Well I started from scratch again and almost completed it :o
First time it took me 12-14 hours.

This time it took me about 2 hours :o
And used BodyPaint for the first time too :)

I think this is a lot better looking - Still have to tweak a few things here and there and I'll be done :D
