Just an intresting fact about the Ref that night: The last 5 games he ref'd Milian they won all 5 and the opposite sides didn't score, so make of that what you will, but we were cheated tbh.
Oh some one tell me WHY THE FUCK THE REF, DIDN'T PLAY THE FULL AMOUNT OF ALLICATED STOPPAGE TIME?!?!?!?!

the ref was as bent as a two bob note
milan should not have been there
liverpool were by far the better team on the night
first goal was off inzaghis arm
i think in the end, our lucky in '05 came back to bite us in the arse.

Not really no? It's called being passionate about the game, and no it's nothing emo, theres fuck all of the "wanting to kill my self" theme about it tbh. You obviously wouldn't understand not being a Liverpool supporter n'all? It's quite a famous saying, you're obviously not a supporter of the game either? & if I'm right which I'm pretty sure I am, then if you're not into the sport why post? loool
& to Stu, lol I don't think were bitter, we just like to see the game being played fairly, and I don't think 05 was luck I think we were just a different class.

And it doesn't help, the fact that I'm an Aussie who can't watch them in the first place... otherwise I'd be nocturnal

as an evertonian, i found myself hating it when i was urging liverpool on, but i still did it lol.
In the early exchanges, pennant was a let down, played a few poor crosses, then gerrard missed a few that he would normally bag,
liverpool just didnt click that night, pressure could be a reason, but i think rafa got it wrong, crouch should of been on from the start and bellamy should of had a chance, both these players are fast a great target men liverpool were well known for scoring from crosses etc... i think the figure was something like 14 goals scored from crosses in the CL this year, Milan got rid of that threat and the result proves it,
the ref, well, he didnt have the best game, but the first goal would of been hard to tell if it was hand ball of a header, the fact he played a little less ET is really irrelivant, you never looked like getting another goal IMO.
take the result, and be pruod of your team for getting that far, they did deserve to win, but they didnt and thats what makes this the greatest game in the world!

Hold ya horses, Liverpool lost which in footballing terms means they were the beat by a better team, they may have played better but they never used their possesion to kill of Milan. Also I wouldn't put 05 down to luck, I mean for a team to pull back 3 goals in the way that Liverpool did was sensational, Milan got complacent and if it weren't for Gerrard you wouldn't have won it anyway, he carried the team that night and deserves every bit of credit for it. I know football is a team game but sometimes it is one individual who out classes his team mates and wins for the team and they happened to be one of those occasions.
Sorry but you have no idea what you are talking about... In football of all the sports, the better team isn't the team that necessarily wins, agreeing with Stu, anyone with any passion or the most basic knowledge knows this fact. Doesn't it say it all with penalties? A team can be ripped apart in open play but manage to survive to penalties, to then win the game on a penaltie shoot out. Clearly the better team does not always win.
"If it weren't for Gerrard you wouldn't have won it anyway”
Yes, and? Gerrard is a top quality player, he’s done it many times, don't seem so shocked that he did that, look at the more recent FA cup final we were involved in, against West Ham, the goal he scored in the final minute, he’s always produced class like this that you're Frank Lampards, Ronaldo's, fail to compete with. Steven Gerrard can change a game, and will change a game to a higher form, or standard than them players.
Oh and, sorry I'm not going to find my self agreeing with an Everton fan, sorry lad.

yeh we rely on gerrard alot when the team is under performing... but alot of teams do that. how often has henry plucked a result from nothing for arsenal, or beckham carried england with a goal here and there when they just cant break down a team. and of course, look at how ronaldo carried united all season in the premiership this year. really poor argument in my opinion.

I mean when Liverpool played in the first half they were dominating play and stopping Milan play the game the way they wanted to, then Milan scored a fluke goal and Liverpool were all of a sudden undone by it, they could have come out second half and wiped the floor with them but they never, they waited for another goal to go in then they decided that in the final 10 minutes that they were going to try and get something back, which they did when Kuyt socred, but if they were the better team they would have played out of their skins until they got something back, rather than waiting til the end.
Also the manager didn't help matters by parking Crouch and Bellamy on the bench, silly mistake by Rafa. When you have the pace and speed of someone like Bellamy you should play him against the tired legs of Maldini, he would have caused all sorts of problems for the Milan defence, also if Crouch were on he would have beat Nesta or Maldini in the air.

LOL! Don't you Liverpool supporters take it to heart . I mean when United played them and O'shea scored neither team deserved to win but we did by a goal, so would you there for say that we were the better team? Yes, we were purely because you lasped in concentration and we stung you.

LOLOOLOLOLL??????????????? Did you actually watch the game? I'm thinking if you did then you're just as bad as some ref's seeing what they only want to see, we killed you for the entire 90 minutes, we were the better team, you had luck. Like Stu said its a funny game, and theres no dobut people are yet to get past the "we won so were the better team" stage, when you do, you'll start to appericate the game more, and maybe actually become passionate about it? We'll next season who's the better team then ;]
