Im going to start a list where i put a Action script command and then what it does. the someone else will add some and then on and on and on.

Starting with the basics.

Play();
-Plays the movie-

Stop();
-Stops the movie-

gotoAndPlay(2);
-plays the frame number put where the 2 is-

gotoAndStop(2);
-goes to the frame where the 2 is and then stops-

on (press) { }
-when mouse clicks on the button or movieclip-

on (release) { }
-when mouse button is released on the button or movieclip-

nextFrame();
-goes to next frame and stops-

prevFrame();
-goes to the previous frame and stops-

this.
-current mc or button the code is on-

_x
-current x cordinant-

_y
-current y cordinant-

Thats all im gonna put for now to see if anyones even going to add anything

Not exactly like that but theres a heap of sites out there that have already been there & done it.
