I downloaded php, mysql, apache server

I dont really understand the concept of php. Can i use html with it?? I mean for example, if i created a basic layout with tables and stuff, would i use php then??

Also I read a bit about php -echos and stuff. It doesnt look like its better than html, I know it is better though, but how??

Any1 got some clarifications?? I just started php so yah

PHP works in conjunction with HTML, it doesn't replace it.

For example.. you still use HTML to create your layouts and so forth, but then you use PHP for the "functionality" of the website.. forms, database queries, and so forth.

The best way to learn is by putting mini php scripts into your existing HTML page.. then you can learn from there and slowly move to more complicated things.

Only way to learn is to read..

Try the tutorials on this site for a start, otherwise try:

and just keep reading, reading, and reading

Reading is how i learned php. Larry Ullman's book is very good. From there, u can get a oop book. If you need help with php, php.net has some awesome examples along with functions of functions.
