Go to start>run.

Then type this in, "TASKMGR" (without the quotes) and hit ok.

no one is allowed in system32 on any computer :friends:

Try making a quick temp account on your computer logon to that one and see if it happens to all accounts or just yours.

Same thing happened to me a while ago, my computer was already in a downward spiral at that point, so it just ended in a computer formatting. Never figured out the problem. IF you have a dell you can call tech support, they are usually really helpful.

Everyone who isnt on a limited account has access to system32.

Dell Tech Support is very bad and not helpful at all. The percentage of bad customer help increased by 5% this year.

Right click the start bar and go to Task Manager... Or is that redundant?

Helped me 100% of the time, and its worth a try if nothing else is working ;)

First, press cntrl alt del then hold Alt+Tab and see if its open and just off the screen somewhere. If thats not the problem then I suggest going through this faq

The only explanation I can give is that it is in fact loading however you can't see it because it's off screen, like I3lueMage said. Minimize everything and check the edges of your monitor carefully to see if you can see it. If not, hit alt + tab to see if it is running after you have tried to open it.

Update your antivirus - Check again
Check for adware/spyware again (after updating whatever s/w you use)

That should fix the problem

Did you try a search in google? There are a lot of ppl who have faced this problem before - And in almost all cases, it was due to viruses/spyware :P
