My copy of photoshop CS2 isn't working, whenever I open it, it wont make it past the splash screen. It freezes up at "Reading text global resources..." I've tried to do the Repair thing and it still freezes up.

Do/did you have a previous version of Photoshop that worked?

I had that problem at work.
Let it load for about 3-4 mins and it should eventually get in Quit all other programs so you focus all your comp on Photoshop It works, lol.

Ghost, I'm curious, did this happen once or does it do it every time you open PS?

I've got the same problem on my laptop and my PC. I dont think it's from a lack of memory, I have a Gigabyte in my PC.

So many people have this problem. I used to get it quite regularly (once a week pretty much). Here is how u fix it (although it is a LONG time since I have done it now - since I last formatted my PC, it has been fine):
Go to the folder as follows:
C:\ (or w/e HDD is the main one) >> Documents and Settings >> (your XP username) >> Application Data >> Adobe >> Photoshop >> 9.0 (of w/e your version number is) >>
Then delete the folder called "Adobe Photoshop CS2 Settings". This will lose all of your settings, but it is the only way I found to fix it.
Hope that helps.
