well i was working on my 3Ds max last night becaus i final figured out how to model human bodies but then this morning when i came to continue my modeling i noticed when i select a vertex my little X,Y,Z helper thing that lets me move the vertex is different.....

heres the little X,Y,Z thing im talking about if you dont understand:

so yeha i was just wondering if some one could direct me in where i would be able to change it becaus i know theres a better one then this one..... im using version 7 if ever it makes a difference....

thats just the default when you dont have move or rotate gizmos etc selected? im not really sure as to what you mean by your question...

Are you sure you have the 'move' tool selected?

sorry my question is a little sketchy.... i dont know if this explination will help...


ok well i CAN move the x,y,z thing still like befor its just befor it was different, it was in colors (green,blue,red,yellow) and it had a little box in the middle kind of and yeah it was just alot easier and more helpful with the other one then then red one you see in hte pictur..... sorry for my bad explination lol and dont worry if you cant help me lol ill work with this one lol

ok nvm guys lol i just found out what was wrong lol its when you press 'x' it changes it lol i read Netskay's help thread and he had same problem lol thanks anyways tho lol

my whjole computer was buggy and that day i got so pissed off i reformated and preinstalled everything. i selected the programs i use the most and installed them so i keep clean. lol

but some time max can be pretty buggy and annoying
