Hi All! I have been using Blender 3D for a while now with LuxRender as an external renderer. I would have liked to use Yaf(a)Ray but I couldn't get them to integrate for some reason.

To put it plainly the combination is getting on my nerves. It takes days to just render an image even. I would like to know if there is another program out there that has a good internal renderer for doing photorealistic images. I know Maya and 3D Studio Max both have Mental Ray but I don't know how well they work. And I don't want to spend the money only to find out later I should have gotten something else.

I am willing to use a combination of a modeling program and rendering program also I guess as long as they work well together. Main objective: 3D modeling program, renderer, photorealistic outcome for images that are interiors or products- at a decent as possible price. A lot to ask I know, but any ideas for a combination better than what I have?

Thank you!!!
-Stephanie
