Ok, I'd been a Photoshop user (CS2) exclusively with PC's for years now. But I recently set up shop on a new Mac and I can not figure out what trick I did a long time ago to have the simple luxury of perfectly rounded corners and edges with text layers. I thought I simply went to the little "Anti-Aliasing" box and took it to "Sharp" but that doesn't work. Nor does "Crisp", "Smooth" or "None". Here's an example of the best quality I can get with text layers.

And yes, it is zoomed in at 100%. Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Photoshop CS4 on Mac.

Try ctrl clicking the textlayer to select it;
ev. if you want ctrl+j to copy it to another layer and then use the modify selection > smooth (think 1-2 pixels should be enough).
Hope this works (you could try to feather the selection afterwards, but be carefull to loose the sharp edges you need for text.

Just a thought, dunno if this really helps... ^_^
