I was just wondering why pixel2life decided to use a resolution built for people with 1024x768? I am not criticizing but just wondering because SO many designers say too design for minimum 800x600. Thanks

Because this site is geared to designers and programmers and I can pretty much guarantee you that 99.9% of those folks all run 1024x786 or higher. Our stats show that VERY few ppl view the site in 800x600.

The old site was 1024x768 as well. Hope that helps answer your questions ;)

I kinda figured that! I am just debating on whether my new site should be geard for 1024x748 or up. I had seen so many articles about making sure you are compatible with every screen size and started doubting myself. Thanks for the reply!

I think it greatly depends on your target crowd. If your targeting the average online user, you will probably want to design for 800x600. When you get into the more techy crowds, such as designers, most of them will end up using 1024x768 (at least).

It cant hurt to design for 800x600 besides the fact that you lose some space :P
