Hey, I am very familiar to Cinema 4D but I still dont know how to use the sky object, when i add a sky and a floor i can see the floor but not the sky, can someone link me to a tut on using the sky object or give me some tips on how to use it?

I'm pretty sure you can't actually see the sky object, it's just a lighting effect. If you apply a material to it you'll be able to see it reflected off some objects, but that's it.

I use the sky object to do HDRI images. If you want a background for your picture, use a background object and put a picture on it. Or make a large sphere and expand it beyond the camera to fake a sky. The actual sky object is usually used to apply a luminous material to for lighting.
