If you are talking about a HTTP server. Then i suggest DevSide.net server which has:
Apache 2
PHP 4.3.1
MySQL 4.11
PhPMyAdmin
Perl 5.8.1
You install it like any other program, no knowledge needed. Once it's installed, you have nothing to care about, everything runs as services.

Ok I was reading over this, and I got the WAMP. So now what, I am not sure how to work it so I can host my site. I am wanting to do the same as Eternex.

In order to host your site form your own computer, then make sure you have a good broadband connection.
Also you'll have to have a static ip address, most webhosts provide you with a dynamic ip address, whcih means it changes every time you connect to the internet.
There are companys out there that can provide you with a free static ip address, such as no-ip.com.
Also I have tried setting it up so I can host my own website of my PC, but I never got it to work. It can be a pain as you have to set your firewall to accept incomming connections to port 80 also use port forwarding on you router if you have one.

Ok I am in the same spot, but I dont think that my firewall is stopping it? I have an account at no-ip.com but now I am not sure what to do??
