This is an excellent Tutorial and a great find for me. I've been using cPP for a number of years, as my preferred graphic tool, though I have aPS, for a few things, it is too complex for my low-learning curve.
This Tute is just the shot for exactly what it says, "brushes" in cPP... so well done, great, and thanks. PS: also thx to the person who develops the "abr viewer/converter"... works like a charm.
I'd never heard of this until I came across your tutorial.

Problems with Corel Draw X-3 & PNG files
Have completed downloading png files including brush nibs faux finishes and the Nagel series using Source Forge. These files are now resting in Corel Photo Paint>presets>brush>png images. When I attempt to load them for use, the thumbnail image comes up as an object in the brush docker but the shape does not load as a nib. Also, there is no outline of the shape in the “brush type” pull down box..
Help please.

I'm really sorry Scott, I don't have X3, only v12 so I don't know :( Can you link me to the brushes you are trying to convert?

Problems with Corel PP v12
I thought this was a GREAT tutorial, however I am having problems. After following all the intstructions, I was able to convert the abr. files to a nib in Corel. But...now Corel won't let me use that nib. I see the design of the nib that I created in the brush docker. When I try to "paint" it in my new document, it doesn't show up on the document. What am I doing wrong? I will send a link to the brushes after I locate where I got them from again, these have been sitting in a file on my computer for a "someday" use.

(that milky way, falling from the sky, the tree and those beautiful clouds). so pls, can you give me a hint where i could find that picture??? tnx a lot, and keep up the good job!

thanyou very much for this tutorial...i've just upgraded from corel 11 to 14...I just found out i am not able to do this in corel 14, i'm don't know why...it works great in 11...any idea's why or how i can get it to work in 14?....???Angela
hey I've just worked it out...ok what you need to do is open the png file, then click on the picker tool move the image and then go to mask-create-mask from object....then go to the paint tool and follow all the same instructions... yess it works...hope it dose for everyones else...
