This is a layout that I don't plan to put into action, but just to see what I can do. I spent 1 hour and 40 minutes on it

Could I have some constructive criticism on this?

Not bad but on the header where the white fades into the red it looks like it is over lapping.

constructive eh? lets see, overall, the whole gloss effect i'd say came out nice, except in the top grey area, you should've curved the gradient a bit to match the shape.

and one more thing that could've been better, is the tabs, the bevel effect should have been lessened (you know, that white line on the top-left of the tab). because right now, the white line is just too light compared to the rest of the layout
