anyone know were i can turn brush pressure on in illustrator for use with my tablet?

hmm, i think if you select the brush you want to use, find brush options/settings and set the diameter to pressure then it will work :S

Unsure though, been a while since i used it.

there's only these option bar i can find when i select the brush. Cant find anything about it there -_-

I never found a way in illustrtaor Cs, so i think you cant.
Which would be logical in the old days since then there was a clear difference in usage between illustrator and photoshop.

Guess who finally got his pc back online, yep... me :P

I've already seen a few tutorials handling brush pressure in illustrator but all of them were using wacom tablets, I plugged mine out since I'm not using it that often, and to be honest I'm too lazy to plug it back in.
My advice to you, in case you have a wacom with brush pressue functionality, install the newest drivers and the PS plugin from wacom.

Works perfecty fine for me with brush pressure and a wacom intuos3 tablet. Using the brush tool.

And do you control the pressure/tilt -variation --> brush size from within Illustrator ?
If so, where do you find the controls?

if you dont have those controlls up you will find them under window>Brushes or F5 as default hotkey to the tab.

aha, thx, gonna try it with my very very simple tablet (its Wacom graphire.2). Now where did i put that one 2 years ago? ...
It sounds very logic being there, dont know why i didnt see that setting... ? /me stupid

Calligraphic and scatter brushes
Not the artbrushes apparently...
