Good luck in the changeover, I think you should have both the forum skins though as I personally love this skin, praises to Ghost for the skin.

I don't like the idea of changing back to the V2 design and layout, a new Version deserves a new and different design, it's one of the main things you look for in a new Version.

My saying, either edit this current V3 layout, maybe a new logo/colour scheme etc. or a whole new design alltogether.

Also in my opinion:

If you use the old design, it's probably got to be Version 2.5, dunno where you're getting, V4, V5, or V6 from?

If you make a new design for V3, it's probably got to be Version 3.5.


A whole new thing (which I know is not in the process), would only deserve to be called V4.

I think there is alot of confusion out there, the new modified layout is going to be like v3 with the colors and graphics for v2 just to clear that up, the site is not going back to v2!

Exactly what I was thinking. Too bad people can't spend a little bit more time reading the entire post instead of just 3 words and make up their mind and switch to complain mode.

That's right... it's going to have the features and speed of v3 but will have a modified layout that is based heavily on v2, but also have some looks from v3. A couple of ppl have seen it and said it was definitely a hybrid of the two and looked great.

like it has been said P2L is not going back to the older version just the V2 look (which will be slightly modified)

and i still really like the current theme so the idea of a theme changer for the site would be great

I really like that you're going to change the layout colors. I think the one thing that other people liked about v.2 is that everything was 'connected', like everything was touching. It gave me a sense of security. Most of the things in v.3 are floating. Too many sites are like that and it gets kind of boring. I like the "blend"(from light to dark) style of this version but I like the layout of v.2. I wish you the best of luck on the change, and I agree with everyone on the skin selection ability. I also loved the layout of v.1 but the colors were bland and dull. Maybe a three-way hybrid would be nice.

The ability to skin the site would only be to change the color schemes, not the layout itself... that's just too much of a pain and it's time that could be spent better else where to be honest.

This will be the final layout change, and I am REALLY sick of this stuff now and want to get back into tutorial writing, promoting and building up the site and having some fun. So once this release is done, it's a done deal even if it kills me lol!

Well that's kind of what I meant. I'm more of a graphics guy rather than a web designer. I like the green in the layout but the blue of the v.2 was a nice soothing color. Good luck, again.
