just look at her picture and you'll see why its generating so much publicity.
noone would care about her if there was no reward? pretty shallow if you ask me!
there was alot of publicity before the rewards... the rewards came relatively recently from newspapers and celebrities just trying to do thier bit. irrelevant to how much the case is being reported really.
i dont really get this 'why madeline' question though. why not? 3 year old girls arent abducted on a daily basis.
So your basing it on age? because almost each month I receive a postcard thingy in the mail saying "Missing" with a picture and a lot of the times they are age 5-12, why don't they get publicity all they get is a post card sent to each house and thats only once and never shows up again, yet this girl is on every news channel in every nation pretty much.
Those postcards are normally for older cases that they are hoping generates new leads and many of them are kids that ran away or a parent took them out of the country etc... but regardless, they are old cases with cold trails that they are trying to generate new leads. This is about a tourist girl stolen from a high end resort that just happened so the trail is still warm, so the more publicity it gets, the better. If it gets to be a cold case, which I pray it doesn't, it will be another poor child on a postcard or the back of a milk carton.
