Apache 2 + PHP 4 + MySQL 4 + IPB

Hey

im trying to set up a foum on Invision Power Board on an apache 2 server with php 4.

apache 2 and php 4 work fine and ive installed my sql but when i run the install.php i have problems, i think its quite common problem, but none of the solutions i have found work ;)

this is what i get:

could someone write a tutorial or soemthing for me please :)

IPB comes with full set-up instructions.

Did you read any of that?

edit: nope it doest help, ive been through everything it says and i still get the error.

ill give it another read

You should also have registered client status if you have IPB as its not free anymore they will also install for you or tell you where your going wrong ;)

;) Have fun on your evaluation then.

double check your host has:
PHP 4.1.0 (or better)
MySQL 3.23 (or better)

Then read:

im the host :) and yeah i do have them

yeah ive seen this page before and ive tried and got no where.

tbh i dont really understand it.

how the hell do i 'Upgrade all client programs to use a 4.1.1 or newer client library. '
