Hi, look at this screenshot of the camera control pro 2 software that ships with nikon cameras. I can't seem to figure out what the Lo means. I know its supposed to be the shutter speed, but L is not a number. Please keep in mind that This is my first DSLR and I'm new to the whole thing.

My guess is, that it means 'Low'. That is my educated guess.

maybe it means the shutter speed is either to fast (dont you need longer exposure time for smaller aperatures?) or to slow. i dont get your screenshot though, is that on your computer? if it is, then why does it say shoot?

i've never used a nikon, nut i'm pretty sure it's a shooting mode, maybe 'low light' for white balance. I believe the camera came with a manual?
