IT''s VERY plain, maybe add some very light color to it, and a render or something to fill up the empty space> ALso, mess with the contrast a little, to little negative space.

The background is looking fairly good, a little bland though, as they guys above stated, get yourself a render to add a little extra flair. Nice job. :P

out of ten? hrmph, it would be somewhere between 7 and 9. i don't want to go lower than 7 because i think it's actaully really good. if that were mine, i would use it. that doods shoulders are really badass. (can i say that?) but i wouldn't tread above a 9 because i think the head needs to be a little more opaque. maybe even the whole body. i wonder what that would look like. maybe add a little more confusion in the backround. (does that make sence?) anyways. i think you should take your origonal image of just the plane backround and turn it into one of those cool "bars" that everyone seems to have under their sig now-a-days. i think tonight i am going to make one of those trendy bars. a pink one ! ! ! \(^O^)/~hurray

PS:
like i said before. i am not qualified to give advice. but i feel i am qualified to share my opinion ^^; take it as you wish~

if your aiming for a gothic sig, take off the blue, goths like black...and white. and goths are more vampire style, not gaming. This is comeing from a former goth btw
