I am trying to transform a video to fit into an image of a tv screen. All options work except for distortion, and that is the one tool i need to use. Any suggestions on what to do?

You cannot distort video objects... see below note from Macromedia Flash help file:

"Note: The Distort command cannot modify symbols, bitmaps, video objects, sounds, gradients, object groups, or text."
