A sudden moment of clarity invades the fun of putting the final touches on my entry as I realise I'm not actually sure how to enter...
By that I mean - am I supposed to submit a single render, or can I make a collage image showing different aspects of my model? Apologies for being the mentally challenged one of the group!

You can show one complete shot of the render and add the collage showing different parts of the render as well :P

I've used Cinema and a HDR image to illuminate the stage. Search on google for HDRI, theres loads of info out there, its really easy to do.

I've re-rendered loads using this technique.

And thanks alot guys, putting more detail into it now.

Almost forgot it's 10th today! I'll post mine in a few hours (Need to do a final render first), so hopefully it'll still count (Not entirely sure if it was post on the 10th or by the 10th).

Nice sutble render that one mate. V groovy... :)

You should do the version with the tribal tattoo on it, but in white to contrast the black...

Just make the tattos in illustrator then use the 'alpha' method to apply it on the mesh... :P
