I think they did a good job because if you look at the navigation bar (at the top, the one on the bottom looks awful) you'll notice they made their own icons and so on. It's a little bit better than all the other blatant rips I've seen of this site.

1. There is a topic about the fact P2L has been ripped.
2. 'Everybody' says that rippers suck ( and they should be banned )
3. You are the only one that doesn't say that
4. The fact you do that makes him say he should take it down.
What has that to do with each other? :wacko: Because you didn't say that doesn't make sp0173d care more about P2L

- Wow, he can make his own icons. That proves that rippers CAN use computer programs just like everybody else.

- Making such a header isn't really time consuming, it's done within a minute.

And also, I don't get it why you are saying that people are saying things like "rippaz suckz0r, ban dem all now!11". Everybody is talking normal here? There are better ways to show how you think of other people.

I'm saying that because people who just type the sentence "This ripper sucks" or "I hope this ripper falls into a well, which eventually leads into a pit of burning doom and dragons and demented evil unicorns with flowers and things like that" aren't really contributing much. Well, maybe the latter, because I think it's funny. (Is it alright to laugh at my own humour? No? Ok, ignore I said that.)

Oh yeah, do you design? Well, put it this way, when I used Pixel2Life's colours to design my voting banner (located here) it took me at least half an hour. Getting gradients and colours correct amongst other things (let's say, actually making the content (which is rubbish) for the site, takes a while. Incase you didn't figure, I'm a designer. Are you? My Photoshop work takes more than a minute or two. Does yours? According to what you just said, possibly not.

If you wanted to see a rip that I thought had no skill involved, I'll describe it to you now.
- Same icons etc
- Content is built on P2L's styles
- Pixel2Life copyright and elements are still intact.
That's something I would truely laugh at. In this case, I'll laugh at the fact the ass (PARDON MY LATVIAN) can't spell, his tables borders and everything else. Apart from the layout. I would say "nice adaptation!", and then go "oh wait, you're a ripper, please go jump off a cliff or I'll push you."

Have I made my point? Sigh.

Too bad vistapages not only endorses ripping but has nicked "vista" off Windows. Not a good idea, if Billy Boy's (aka M$) lawyers see this I can see a lawsuit coming on. They've probably trademarked and copyrighted that phrase, so they're screwed either way. *notifies microsoft*

Also too bad they've got a nice layout and everything. And they've spent a lot of money on that phone thing. Ah well, I guess if all else fails we could just get hold of the server and internally DoS attack it. But that wouldn't be very nice, would it?

Just a couple of things....

Barkeeper, in my oppinion (and mods stop me if im wrong) your post was uncessary. Will's post was already discussed and conversation about it had ended. Although Will had a wierd way of putting it, i do see his point.

Oh, and about the dos attack, and i hate to end on a nasty note but if anyone would like to brand themself an idiot, please step up and do it. I'll be the first to stamp a metaphorical sign with the words "git" on it to your head. Dos'ing is pathetic. Even a dog could do it, and when dealing in cases where you are on the right side of the law (e.g. ripping) then your basically shooting yourself in the foot.

Come now Will, im sure you remember MattW......

People have their reasons. I'm sure all the Pixel2Life patriots.. (hmm..) who feel malicious would have the idea in their minds. I'm not into DoSing at all, and never was. However I have my ways of irratating people who irratate me, but that's only on the final straw after asking them nicely to stop whatever they're doing it is that is annoying me (and it isn't justified.. ¬_¬)

Anywho, Faken, any news on the boys at vistawhatevers?

True, the last two points where not necessary, but I found the thing I pointed out in my first comment a bit strange. My excuses for those last two points (And the other thing), I shouldn't have said that.

AvengeX: Correct, Photoshop works do take more than a couple of minutes. Also it's no wonder that your picture took a half hour time: You've been working on it with care and you've put details in it. The ripper has just taken a vertical line of the banner and stretched it all over the header ( Pixel-stretch ), taken the colours from the Pixel2Life banner ( Using the eye-dropper tool ), typed other text and created a cheap logo.

Update! I just had a very amusing coversation... first off, I'm having a hard time tracking down a contact for the friggin data centers. BUT I did do something a little fun.. I was able to cross reference the registered whois address of vistapages on a directory I use and get the name and phone number of the person living there, who is of course the owner. His name is Suresh... I just called him and he seemed awfully surprised to hear from me

He assured me he'll look into it, which I hope is true, because I'll be calling him daily.

As for DoSing, I don't think that's a very good idea and I would certainly never support that kind of action.
